Remarkable Blue Chip Iconic Ranch

Welcome to Webster Ranch. This stunning property is in two parcels approximately 569 +/- acres. Located contiguous to the town of Creston, 15 minutes from Paso Robles and Atascadero. Webster Ranch is part of the Huero Huero Rancho Mexican/Spanish Land Grant. The Bixby Land Company brought the Rancho into American hands in the mid 1800’s. In early 1880’s, the Rancho was purchased by J.V. Webster, Amos Adams, Thomas Ambrose and Calvin Cressy (founder of Creston). Soon thereafter, the Rancho was subdivided among its owners and the town of Creston was created. Linden Chandler, a Southern Californian construction magnate bought the Ranch in 1963. For the first time in almost 60 years, the Webster Ranch is available for purchase.

The centerpiece is a lovely Queen Ann home, said to be built in the late 1880’s. There are some beautiful woodwork features and treatments throughout the 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home. A spacious elegant feel with some modern upgrades, truly classic.

A custom manufactured home was built in 2004 for one of Linden Chandler’s daughters that features vaulted ceilings, dual pane windows, three dormers, detailed garage, greenhouse and a nice front porch. The other two manufactured homes are approximately 1,394 sq ft with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

An old schoolhouse was moved to the Ranch in 1964 and was made into a cool bunkhouse for the family gatherings.

For the horse enthusiast, there is a well built 11 stall barn with a hay loft and tack room in place. There are wash racks, run in sheds, shelters and a 70 foot odyssey performance trainer hot walker on the property. There is also a feed lot cattle operation in place with 12 holding pens, two spacious hay pole barns and a large shop. Behind the shop and hay barn is a set of working corrals, a loading chute and scale.

The property has three residential wells and three irrigation wells. We do not have any current well reports. Miller Drilling has estimated Well #1 at 500-800 GPM, Well #2 at 800-1,000 GPM and Well #3 at 400-500 GPM. The Ranch is situated in an outstanding water area. There are a number of seasonal ponds. The Huero Huero runs through a portion of the Ranch.

The land has a great deal of variation in terrain and topography. There are elevated rolling hills with oaks and panoramic views with rich, flat farm ground. The living improvements are situated nicely in an oasis of green grass. The land is home to eagles, deer and assorted wildlife. Throughout the Ranch there is approximately 65,000 gallons of water storage and mainlining irrigation with risers throughout portions of the property.

A very conveniently located Ranch in North San Luis Obispo County. Plenty of water, great recreational family compound, lovely access for riding and walking distance to Creston. Truly a blue chip iconic Ranch to enjoy for a lifetime.
